Aberdeen Asset Management


Flexiform Business Furniture completes the office furniture installation for Aberdeen Asset Management. Aberdeen Asset Management PLC is a global investment management group, managing assets for both institutions and private individuals from offices around the world. We designed, manufactured and supplied office desking, desk screens, storage pedestals, reception furniture, conference & meeting tables, and various storage systems.

Flexiform tendered for the Aberdeen Asset Management project in July 2007 but have over the years completed various other phases in partnership with the organisation. Flexiform continues to provide ongoing support and fulfils additional requirements for high-quality office furniture on an ongoing basis. The original tender was for the impressive offices at 40 Princes Street, Edinburgh.

Office Design & Furniture Specification

Flexiform designed the workspace to meet the client’s requirements through our free* office space design service, which included a selection of desking, screens and pedestals, meeting and training rooms, boardrooms, and office storage. Use of the Jot modular office desk provided excellent quality and flexibility without increasing costs, resulting in the best value for money for the client. Flexiform selected contract furniture that demonstrated excellent value for money, was functional, and was in­keeping with the design intent and values of the client in both staff and client­-facing areas. The original furniture in 40 Princes Street was supplied in 2007 and still looks fantastic seven years on!

Aberdeen Asset Management had a particular requirement for cable management and, during the presentation of the office furniture specification, we demonstrated that we could simply change the cable tray design and increase the height of the pedestals to suit their specific needs. 

Reception Chairs

There were no cost increases for these amendments, as we were determined to fully partner with and support, Aberdeen Asset Management during the process, rather than simply supplying office furniture. Amendments such as these are simple to provide as our headquarters and manufacturing plant, we have an experienced in-­house furniture design team, which can alter and adapt any existing product.

As Flexiform also offered ranges of loose and complimentary office furniture from a variety of hand­ picked manufacturers, Aberdeen Asset Management had access to a broad range of products. As such, they were able to select the furniture of the quality and aesthetic associated with a company of its standing. All of our suppliers are carefully considered to ensure we are supplying products that are of high quality and flexibility, and are environmentally friendly. Our curated, versatile range means we have a solution to suit all clients.
