Together with The NHS Business Services Authority, Flexiform undertook an extensive redevelopment of their office space at Hesketh House. The main objectives were to provide a space-efficient, modern, open-plan office, with new meeting rooms and a flexible, multi-functional learning environment for staff. The design required the configuration to be flexible, and able to be changed with ease to ensure that rooms could be adapted for different uses, such as conferences and training rooms.
Flexiform designed, manufactured and installed furniture within the open office floor, new training academy, and reception area within Hesketh House over three phases. Each phase was completed in three to five days to minimise disruption.
The NHS BSA used our in-house Space Planning service to visualise the various options available to them. Our team uses a Revit model of the building to design all furniture elements, ensuring that space is used to its maximum potential. The layouts are exported as a birds-eye view to give an impression of the building, and as eye-level views within each room with realistic visuals. All designed to help the client visualise the project before committing any budget.
The main office had 96 Pico workstations, a simple and effective bench system. All pico desks across the range share the same components and are built on a starter bench which is then extended as needed. This ensures the space is flexible and adaptable over the years, to meet changing needs at Hesketh House. The desks had full cable management included, to meet the specific needs of the client. An ergonomic task chair was selected as it meets the anthropometric and ergonomic needs specified. Additional options were supplied to meet occupational health needs, as and when they were required.
