Flexiform Business Furniture supplied the contract for Southend-On-Sea Borough Council undertaking a major refurbishment project of all agile working spaces and café areas. These specialist areas occupy the ground and first floors of the Civic Centre, each area taking very different approaches.
Workspaces in the office
On the ground floor, the agile space is combined with the new café area, where council workers and customers alike can use the space for ad hoc meetings, customer consultation areas, and also just as an area to sit back and relax. On the first floor, outside the council chambers, a more homely feel was created with a mix of soft furnishings and collaborative meeting tables. This area can also be converted into a more formal reception area as and when the council chambers are in use throughout the year.
