Having outgrown their previous premises in Harrogate, world craft beer suppliers Beer Hawk sought a new office in Wetherby, which would reflect the developing needs of the business. With Absolute Contract Interiors brought in to create a new office design, fit out and implement the move, this project required a very particular, contemporary aesthetic, which showcased Beer Hawk’s love of craft beers, while close budget management remained a priority.
Flexiform worked alongside the talented team at Absolute Commercial Interiors, with our unique Ferro range of industrial style breakout furniture perfectly complementing the stunning cask-inspired installation. Featuring exposed welding, which highlights the organic qualities of the raw materials, each piece of Ferro industrial furniture is completely original – with no two products identical.
Ferro Desking
Chosen for its natural look and feel, Absolute Commercial Interiors used reclaimed scaffolding boards as desktops for the bespoke Ferro desks, with the combination of unrefined wood and metal offering similarities to beer casks, and emphasising the urban design of the office.
Single rectangular loop desks were installed in a back-to-back configuration, offering essential flexibility for a growing business with constantly changing needs. The Ferro desks were also fitted with steel cable management baskets, providing added functionality without sacrificing the industrial look of the workspace. Naturally styled products were selected to maintain stylistic consistency throughout. The seating features a worn leather look, while plastic was avoided in favour of metal to create a striking contemporary ode to traditional beer brewing methods.
Office Storage
In keeping with the brief, Flexiform’s Ferro hinged door storage units were also selected for the project, with the clear lacquered finish adding a sturdy factory-like feel to the installation. The office storage units were installed with plain shelving, giving the staff maximum flexibility to store paperwork to product samples. All our storage was finished by a Flexiform metal product tag to keep with the tone and feel of the range.
Boardroom Table
Finally, the large Ferro boardroom table provides the centrepiece for Beer Hawk’s impressive new premises. Fitted with a 50mm concrete laminate top, the industrial style meeting table provides a striking focal point to the room. The concrete finish of the tabletop, alongside the exposed metal frame, is in stark contrast with the wooden feature wall, with this imaginative use of materials creating a fitting tribute to all things craft beer.
