Flexiform has recently collaborated with Interior Design Consultant JWJ Interiors to transform offices for Hooke, a prestigious private healthcare facility in Mayfair, London. We installed a wide range of high-end furniture for their Clinic, Reception, Offices, Meeting Rooms and Breakout Spaces, creating a modern, inviting and sophisticated healthcare environment.

Led by JWJ Interior’s brief of high-quality, functional and design-led office furniture, Flexiform presented a number of products including their key design attributes, functionality for the user, colour pallets, and tested standards. To help demonstrate the products in their chosen finishes, we also provided bespoke visuals from our in-house Space Planning Interior Design team.

Design Led Office Furniture

It was important to Flexiform to ensure the furniture selected not only looked fantastic and enhanced JWJ’s plans, but also offered a practical solution for the user. This included little details from ergonomic height adjustable desks (for well-being), to hygienic finishes (to manage patients). Within the clinics, we adapted our Pico desks to have an oversailing curved end panel to encourage discussion with the patient and provide a space to show documents and results. The office desks were also fitted with a modesty panel, and a monitor arm with an integrated cable management system to keep the desk tidy, and each of the chairs was finished with leather to create an easy-clean surface.

Office & Meeting Space

The main office space used a central grid-shelving system to divide the space, offering central storage and two distinct zones: a meeting space and the main workspace. The meeting area was fitted with our stunning Channel Work Table with hairpin legs, Fenix laminate chamfered edge top and upholstered central power and data strip, complete with leather meeting chairs for consistency.

The main work area utilised our Jot-Up Lite height adjustable desks with an acoustic privacy screen, integral monitor arm and on-desk electrics for a full IT set-up and ergonomic workspace. JWJ also selected our Freestor storage cupboards with hinged doors and drawer storage, encouraging the user to close the cupboards after use, maintaining a neat and tidy environment.

Project Management & Installation

Once JWJ Interiors completed and agreed her design with Hooke, Flexiform brought the plan to life, project managing, manufacturing, supplying and installing the furniture to create the offices. To ensure the furniture would fit and be suitable for delivery, we undertook a site survey prior to order to measure the space and evaluate the delivery restrictions.

Flexiform then installed the furniture with a small installation team to ensure minimal disruption to the client. Our project management teams have a stringent process to manage any arising issues and correct the installation quickly and efficiently.

The installation has transformed Hooke’s offices into a modern, contemporary and sophisticated workspace that puts the patients and staff at the forefront of the design.
