Create Space Furniture Installation

Flexiform recently completed the office fit-out and furniture installation for a Create Space client in Cambridge. During the design stage, Create Space utilised our in-house Space Planning team to reconfigure their current office layout, making more space available for workstations, collaboration spaces and more, bringing together departments to make them more efficient. The office installation took place during the global Covid-19 pandemic, and both Flexiform and Create Space ensured Government guidelines were followed throughout.

Within the main open-plan office space, we installed our Pico bench desking with additional crank kits, allowing the worktops to be manually raised by up to 80mm, giving an overall height of 740mm – 820mm. This additional height allows taller staff to adjust their desk should they require additional leg space, creating a comfortable and ergonomic workspace. The desks were fitted with a central acoustic screen to help reduce noise and visual distractions, and each member of staff had a personal under desk pedestal to store personal belongings and keep the office tidy.

Open Plan Office Space

To maximise worktop space and provide easy access storage, low Freestor tambour units we’re placed at the end of each back-to-back desk. All office desks were completed with an Equity task chair featuring a supportive mesh back, body balance mechanism, and adjustable lumbar support, helping maximise comfort.

To maintain consistency throughout the office, the senior staff office was fitted with a Pico single desk and desk return extension, creating an L shape worktop with plenty of space. The managerial offices were also fitted with informal and formal meeting spaces. A small breakout area featuring our X-range coffee tables and Valido lounge seating with headrest creates a modern and contemporary 1-2-1 space, while our Additions double pedestal table creates a more formal meeting table for group discussions. Within the staff breakout area, our Ferro bench tables and upholstered Miss office stools create a multi-functional space to relax and eat or have a quick ad hoc meeting. Together, Create Space provided their client with a contemporary office that maximises comfort which in turn, maximises productivity.
