Flexiform has completed the manufacture and installation of contract furniture for the Wilton Centre’s shared communal spaces. Based in Redcar, North Yorkshire, the Wilton Centre is a Science Park home to large brands such as Fujifilm, Honeywell and Mitsubishi Chemicals. With nearly 50 businesses on-site, the Wilton Centre was undergoing significant investment in its shared spaces including its canteen, reception and breakout facilities, managed and transformed by J Mills Contractors. Working with pre-existing plans and a design, we were able to provide a number of visuals, showcasing different furniture options available to the Wilton Centre.
Breakout & Agile Working Furniture
Within the communal areas, we were able to provide a wide range of breakout furniture including mobile pods, high back and low back sofas, media booths and modular sofas matching the agreed interior design and finishes selected. In addition, using our in-house space planning teams to create a number of visuals, we proposed a range of Flexiform office chairs, stools and tables as an alternative.
Our Parq poseur height bench table with black loop leg, white top and contrasting ply edge were selected for the canteen, paired with our Miss stools with a bespoke black skid base. To create a relaxed lounge space for catch ups and informal meetings, the Olé mono-shell chairs were selected with Additions pedestal base coffee tables. To maintain consistency throughout the space, dining areas used the Melita stacking chair in cream, white and grey to compliment Olé. Together with the sofas and media booths, the space provides a wide range of comfortable seating areas suitable for long and short stays, while being coherent in design and aesthetics.
