Flexiform worked closely with the Furniture Practice, appointed by Debenhams as their principal furniture consultant. Along with the in-house design team, The Furniture Practice developed a furniture solution to deal with the usual requirements of a 21st-century office, but also with the needs of a major fashion and household retailer – and all the additional considerations that this brings.
Bespoke Jot storage units were designed to accommodate everything from filing to split level clothing storage. Garment hanging, sample storage, clothing accessory shelves, and a variety of other fittings were designed specifically for Debenhams – as were cabinets of bespoke height, width, and depth. Irrespective of the internal configuration of the systems, the overall aesthetic was maintained across all floors and departments, providing a unified interior landscape.
Bespoke Office Furniture
The Jot desking system was selected by The Furniture Practice as the ideal solution for Debenhams, and Flexiform were again required to provide a totally bespoke solution for this aspect of the project. The bespoke desks were manufactured to a special width and depth, to ensure that the required occupation density was achieved, while also meeting the ergonomic needs of the staff.
Special deep cable trays were designed to accommodate the chosen power and data solutions, Flexiform developed a special way of securing the modules to the trays for ease of installation. Our design team even designed a desk-mounted garment hanger for some areas – essential for Debenhams’ specific business needs.
